Here’s a fun science project we like to do sometimes…experimenting with what does and doesn’t dissolve.

Take a big bowl of water and add various things, stir and see what dissolves and what doesn’t. (Boy, that took a rocket scientist to come up with! Wink ) Things we’ve tried are:

salt
sugar
laundry powder
dirt
cinnamon
pepper
toys
leaves
powdered lemonade mix
macaroni noodles
rice
crackers

The last 3 (noodles, rice and crackers) were extended into a day long experiment. We left each in a small dish of water to see what would happen and checked back frequently.

Lots of fun!
